Bachelor's Programs

First Course at No Cost Tuition Reduction

The first course at no cost tuition reduction (excluding technology and other applicable fees) is only available to new students in good standing, residing in the U.S. who begin classes on August 29, 2022. This tuition reduction of first course at no cost can only applied to the applicable first course of the student’s degree program on the student’s first attempt. This tuition reduction may only be combined with the 10% tuition reduction for U.S.-based partner organizations, the military reduction, or incremental offers.*

$3,000 Walden Care & Compassion Grant™ for:

This tuition grant is only available to new students in good standing, residing in the U.S. who begin classes on August 29, 2022. Tuition grant is applicable to tuition only and does not apply towards books, materials and other supplies or fees needed for a course. This tuition grant may only be combined with the 10% tuition reduction for U.S.-based partner organizations, the military reduction, or incremental offers. The grant funds will be applied up to $600 per term for the first 5 consecutive terms after enrollment, beginning in the first term. *

The grant funds will be applied up to $500 per term for the first 8 consecutive terms after enrollment, beginning in the first term.

$2,500 Walden Live & Learn Grant™ for:

This tuition grant is only available to new students in good standing, residing in the U.S. who begin classes on September 5, 2022. Tuition grant is applicable to tuition only and does not apply towards books, materials and other supplies or fees needed for a course. This tuition grant may only be combined with the 10% tuition reduction for U.S.-based partner organizations, the military reduction, or incremental offers. The grant funds will be applied up to $500 per term for the first 5 consecutive terms after enrollment, beginning in the first term.

Certificate Programs

10% tuition reduction per term of the duration of the program for:

This tuition reduction is only available to new students residing in the U.S. who begin their program on August 29 or September 5, 2022. This tuition reduction may only be combined with the 10% tuition reduction for U.S.-based partner organizations, the military reduction, or incremental offers. Students are responsible for other non-tuition costs, including but not limited to university and program and custom-related fees and taxes. The tuition reduction may only be used for credit-bearing courses within the recipient’s program – non-credit courses are not permitted under the tuition reduction.*

20% tuition reduction per term for the duration of the program for:

This tuition reduction is only available to new students residing in the U.S. who begin their program on August 29 or September 5, 2022. This tuition reduction may only be combined with the 10% tuition reduction for U.S.-based partner organizations, the military reduction, or incremental offers. Students are responsible for other non-tuition costs, including but not limited to university and program and custom-related fees and taxes. The tuition reduction may only be used for credit-bearing courses within the recipient’s program – non-credit courses are not permitted under the tuition reduction.*

15% tuition reduction per term for the duration of the program for:

This tuition reduction is only available to new students in good standing, residing in the U.S. who begin classes on August 29, 2022. Tuition reduction is applicable to tuition only and does not apply towards books, materials and other supplies or fees needed for a course. This tuition reduction may only be combined with the 10% tuition reduction for U.S.-based partner organizations, the military reduction, or incremental offers. The tuition reduction may only be used for credit-bearing courses within the recipient’s program – non-credit courses are not permitted under the tuition reduction.*

Master's Programs

10% tuition reduction per term for the duration of the program for:

This tuition reduction is only available to new students in good standing, residing in the U.S. who begin classes on August 29, or September 5, 2022. This tuition reduction may only be combined with the 10% tuition reduction for U.S.-based partner organizations, the military reduction, or incremental offers. The tuition reduction may only be used for credit-bearing courses within the recipient’s program – non-credit courses are not permitted under the tuition reduction. *

$7,770 is tuition only ($3,000 Grant) (excluding other applicable fees) for:

This tuition grant is only available to new students in good standing, residing in the U.S. who begin classes on September 5, 2022. Tuition grant is applicable to tuition only and does not apply towards books, materials and other supplies or fees needed for a course. This tuition grant may only be combined with the 10% tuition reduction for U.S.-based partner organizations, the military reduction, or incremental offers. The grant funds will be applied up to $1,000 per term for the first 3 consecutive terms after enrollment, beginning in the first term.

$4,000 Grant for:

This tuition grant is only available to new students in good standing, residing in the U.S. who begin classes on August 29, 2022. Tuition grant is applicable to tuition only and does not apply towards books, materials and other supplies or fees needed for a course. This tuition grant may only be combined with the 10% tuition reduction for U.S.-based partner organizations, the military reduction, or incremental offers. The grant funds will be applied up to $500 per term for the first 8 consecutive terms after enrollment, beginning in the first term.

$2,000 Walden Leading Social Change Grant for:

This tuition grant is only available to new students in good standing, residing in the U.S. who begin classes on August 29, 2022. Tuition grant is applicable to tuition only and does not apply towards books, materials and other supplies or fees needed for a course. This tuition grant may only be combined with the 10% tuition reduction for U.S.-based partner organizations, the military reduction, or incremental offers. The grant funds will be applied up to $500 per term for the first 4 consecutive terms after enrollment, beginning in the first term.*

10% tuition reduction per term for the duration of the program for:

This tuition reduction is only available to new students residing in the U.S. who begin their program on August 29 or September 26, 2022. This tuition reduction may only be combined with the 10% tuition reduction for U.S.-based partner organizations, the military reduction, or incremental offers. Students are responsible for other non-tuition costs, including but not limited to university and program and custom-related fees and taxes. The tuition reduction may only be used for credit-bearing courses within the recipient’s program – non-credit courses are not permitted under the tuition reduction. *

Doctoral Programs

$5,000 grant for:

This tuition grant is only available to new students in good standing, residing in the U.S. who begin classes on August 29, 2022. Tuition grant is applicable to tuition only and does not apply towards books, materials and other supplies or fees needed for a course. This tuition grant may only be combined with the 10% tuition reduction for U.S.-based partner organizations, the military reduction, or incremental offers. The grant funds will be applied up to $500 per term for the first 10 consecutive terms after enrollment, beginning in the first term.

Tempo Learning (competency-based)

$3,000 grant for:

This tuition grant is only available to new students in good standing, residing in the U.S. who begin their subscription on September 5, 2022. Tuition grant is applicable to tuition only and does not apply towards books, materials and other supplies or fees needed for a course. This tuition grant may only be combined with incremental offers. The grant funds will be applied up to $500 per subscription term for the first 6 consecutive subscription terms after enrollment, beginning in the first subscription term.

$1,000 grant for:

This tuition grant is only available to new students in good standing, residing in the U.S. who begin their subscription on September 5, 2022. Tuition grant is applicable to tuition only and does not apply towards books, materials and other supplies or fees needed for a course. This tuition grant may only be combined with incremental offers. The grant funds will be applied up to $250 per subscription term for the first 4 consecutive subscription terms after enrollment, beginning in the first subscription term.

College of Nursing for Continuing Students

Dream Achieved MSN $1,000 Grant

This special grant is to encourage active students who have not taken courses for 1 – 3 quarters and inactive students who have not taken courses for 4+ terms to further their education in the Master of Science in Nursing Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (MSN AGAC), Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPC), or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) degree program at Walden University.

  • Students who started their MSN AGAC, AGPC, or FNP program on or after the Fall 2018 quarter and last attended Walden courses during the Fall 2021, Winter 2021, or Spring 2022 quarter or withdrew; or were withdrawn from Walden during or after the start of the Fall 2021 quarter may be eligible to receive this grant.*
  • Students who started their MSN AGAC, AGPC, or FNP program on or after the Fall 2018 quarter and last attended Walden courses before the Fall 2021 quarter may be eligible to receive this grant.**

*The $1,000 Dream Achieved MSN Grant is for the August 29, 2022, start date and will be applied to eligible student’s accounts shortly after the start date with $500 paid each of the first two terms.*** Grant recipients must be an active student pursing a Walden MSN degree (Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, and Family Nurse Practitioner specializations only). Students need to have completed all core and specialization courses except for the Nurse Practitioner practicum component of the program (both NRNP and PRAC courses). Student must have started their MSN AGAC, AGPC, or FNP program on or after the Fall 2018 quarter and last attended Walden courses during the Fall 2021, Winter 2021, or Spring 2022 quarter or withdrew; or were withdrawn from Walden during or after the start of the Fall 2021 quarter. Student must be in good academic standing. Students who are licensed in the United States but who are currently located outside of the United States may not be able to complete practicum unless they can find an acceptable site. U.S. military bases are the only international sites acceptable for practicum. This tuition grant may be combined with any other offer. Student must be enrolled continuously (without break) a minimum enrollment of 2 credit hours per quarter to receive full grant award amount.

Students are responsible for other non-tuition costs, including but not limited to university and program and custom-related fees and taxes. Any tuition reduction will end with any change or completion of current program or start date. Subsequent tuition reductions will be based upon what is being offered at that time. Any unused portion due to a break in attendance will be forfeited. Walden may change the tuition reduction offered hereunder at any time, but such change will not affect the tuition reduction for students who are currently enrolled at Walden and using the existing tuition reduction. All tuition reductions, grants, or scholarships are subject to specific eligibility requirements. Contact a Walden University Enrollment Specialist for details.

***If student needs to retake the Advanced Pharmacology course due to state licensure requirements and Walden policy, this will be at no cost tuition (excluding other applicable fees and technology fee). The Dream Achieved MSN grant will then start being applied in the student’s second term of re-enrollment.

Tuition grant is applicable to tuition only and does not apply toward books, materials and other supplies or fees needed for a course. This tuition grant may only be combined with the 10% tuition reduction for U.S.-based partner organizations, the military reduction, or incremental offers. The grant funds will be applied up to $600 per term for the first five consecutive terms after enrollment, beginning in the first term.

The baccalaureate degree program in nursing (BSN), master’s degree program in nursing (MSN), post-graduate APRN certificate program, and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at Walden University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (
