You have a unique learning style—and a unique schedule. That’s why Walden offers you more than one way to learn.
In nursing, confidence is everything—and we want you to have confidence in Walden’s CCNE-accredited nursing programs. Accreditation signals program quality, and assures an educational experience aligned with the demands of today’s nursing field.
The baccalaureate degree program in nursing (BSN), master’s degree program in nursing (MSN), post-graduate APRN certificate program, and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at Walden University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (www.ccneaccreditation.org).
Be ready for what’s next with a Walden degree.
Choose the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) if you’re an RN looking to hone your leadership and practical skills and gain a credential that sets you apart in the eyes of employers. A BSN also serves as a bridge to an advanced nursing degree.
Choose the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) if you want to seek certification as a nurse practitioner or to pursue a career in a specialty area such as teaching aspiring nurses, executive leadership, or nursing informatics.
Choose the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) to Master of Science in Business (MBA) dual degree if you to combine your passion for nursing with the power of business acumen.
Choose the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) if you want to strengthen your advanced nursing practice, augment healthcare delivery, and improve patient care.
Choose the PhD in Nursing if you want to help shape the future of healthcare as a nurse researcher, educator, or policymaker.
There’s a path to success for every level in your nursing education at Walden. Once you’ve identified which degree you ultimately want, you can determine which path fits you best.
Admissions requirements for online nursing degree programs typically include the submission of a completed online application and transcripts from other institutions. However, there may be additional requirements depending on the academic program you choose. At Walden, only registered nurses (RNs) may apply to our online nursing degree programs.
The baccalaureate degree program in nursing (BSN), master’s degree program in nursing (MSN), post-master’s APRN certificate program, and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at Walden University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (www.ccneaccreditation.org).
Officially recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national accreditation agency, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) is an autonomous accrediting agency, contributing to the improvement of the public's health. CCNE ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate, and residency programs in nursing.
A practicum gives you valuable practical experience by allowing you to apply your new knowledge and skills in real-life situations and settings. You are responsible for initiating your search for a field site based on your geographic preferences. However, if you need assistance, register for Walden University’s Practicum Pledge®. Our dedicated Field Placement Team will then partner with you to secure your site and preceptor. This enhanced support gives you added confidence as you start your online nursing school journey.
