Elizabeth Dizney

Dr. Dizney serves as contributing faculty for Walden University; where she has provided Master’s and Doctoral level online course instruction, dissertation mentoring, and instructing at face-to-face and virtual residencies for over 17 years. She has also served as adjunct faculty at Western Kentucky University and Elizabethtown Community College. Dr. Dizney previously worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida (UF); as well as the Clinical Director for the UF Health Eating Disorder Recovery Center. While teaching in the College of Medicine at the University of Florida, she was awarded the College of Medicine Exemplary Teacher Award 2011-2012. Outside of Walden University, Dr. Dizney is the Director of Psychology Training at North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System. She also practices individual and group therapy interventions with 10 years of experience in the Veterans Health Administration as a clinician and clinical supervisor. She is certified in a number of treatment modalities including Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy for Depression, Primary Care Mental Health Integration Co-Located Collaborative Care, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Chronic Pain; as well as specialized and advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She is also a member of various committees at the VA; including the Psychology Diversity Committee, Psychology CE committee, Associated Heath Education Committee, and Psychology Training Committee.
