Dr. Daniel Otoo Djan is currently a Contributing Faculty Professor at Walden University and an Adjunct professor of Social Work at Grand Canyon University. Prior to his current appointment, he was an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Wilberforce University. Over the past 6 years, Prof Djan has taught a variety of courses in both graduate and undergraduate. He also serves as Subject Matter Expert developing curricula for undergraduate students at Wilberforce University as well as creating content for training and advising.
In addition, Dr Djan has over 12 years of experience working with Connecticut Department of Social Services utilizing the United States Department of Agriculture guidelines to determine client eligibility for social service programs. As a Registered Social Worker in Ontario, Canada and a Licensed Master Social Worker in Connecticut, Dr Djan has also engaged in clinical work with substance abuse patients and various treatment programs.
Prof. Djan graduated with a bachelor’s degree Honors Double Major program in Mass Communication and Political Science from York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, a Master of Business Administration from the Sage Colleges in Albany, New York, Master of Science in Human Services from Walden University, Master of Social Work from Boston University and PhD in Human Services with Clinical Social Work Concentration from Walden University. Prof Djan has pending publications with reputable journals, and he is a member of the International Association for Strategy Professionals (IASP) and the Ontario College of Social Workers (OCSW) in Canada. When he is not spending time with family, both immediate and extended, Prof Djan is enjoying his hobbies which include tennis, reading, and walking.
