Minneapolis—February 6, 2013—To celebrate Black History Month, Walden University is bringing together its community of students, alumni, faculty and staff to acknowledge their appreciation of the contributions made by remarkable African Americans. “This year, Walden commemorates Black History Month by focusing on the achievements of many generations of African Americans who inspire us to make a difference,” said Dr. Cynthia Baum, president of Walden. “In addition to recognizing these important figures and sharing their impact with the Walden community, we aspire to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to creating positive social change in our communities, nation and world.”
