In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Minneapolis—September 27, 2012—Eleven students from Walden University’s College of Management and Technology have been selected to attend the 2012 World Business Forum on Oct. 2 and 3 in New York City. The doctoral and master’s degree students from across the country will hear global leaders in government, business and media discuss ideas and trends affecting the future of the global economy. Walden is a sponsor of the 2012 World Business Forum and the university’s president, Dr. Cynthia G. Baum, will introduce one of the distinguished speakers, author and researcher Marcus Buckingham, during the event at 11:30 a.m. Eastern time, Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Radio City Music Hall.
