Minneapolis—October 27, 2011—Walden University announced today that it has formed educational partnerships with three organizations to provide employees and members with higher education opportunities. Walden’s degree programs are designed to provide critical-thinking and problem-solving skills that students can apply immediately in their workplace as well as to challenges facing their communities.
Employees and members of the partner organizations now have the opportunity to pursue a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree online at Walden. Employees can choose from more than 60 online degree programs with more than 300 specializations and concentrations, including health sciences, counseling, human services, management, psychology, education, public health, nursing, public administration and information technology.
Walden’s three new educational partners are:
- Center for Financial Training Atlantic & Central States (CFTACS)—The Center for Financial Training Atlantic & Central States is a nonprofit adult education and training organization for professionals in the financial industry. The center serves Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Northern Virginia, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Tennessee.
- Grant Professionals Association (GPA)—The Grant Professionals Association is a nonprofit membership organization that builds and supports the international community of grant writing professionals through 49 chapters in the United States and one in Puerto Rico.
- Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA)—The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority is a transit authority that operates buses, trains, regional rails and trolleys in eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and southern New Jersey, serving approximately 1 million commuters each day.
These new partnerships join the growing contingent of hospitals, health systems, nonprofits, and business and educational organizations and institutions that have aligned with Walden to provide educational opportunities to their employees.
