Walden University Announces Education Partnership with District of Columbia Department of Human Resources
Minneapolis—March 9, 2011— Walden University and the District of Columbia Department of Human Resources today announced an educational partnership that offers more than 30,000 employees of the District government the opportunity to enroll in online higher education programs at a reduced tuition.

District government employees will have access to the advantages of a Walden University education, including more than 50 online degree programs and more than 225 specializations and concentrations in areas of study such as health sciences, counseling, human services, management, psychology, education, public health, nursing, public administration and information technology. Also, District government employees who hold certain professional certifications, such as those from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Project Management Institute (PMI), may be eligible for transfer of credit opportunities when they enroll at Walden.
