In recognition of National Nurses Week (May 6–12) and to thank America’s nurses for their caring and professionalism, Walden University’s School of Nursing is proud to partner with Nurse.com and the National Breast Cancer Foundation to help increase the early detection of breast cancer by providing a free personalized breast cancer early detection plan and a downloadable patient brochure.
The customizable plan at www.nurse.com/breastcancer is designed to educate women and men about the benefits of regular breast examinations and allow them to create important reminders to conduct a self-examination or schedule a mammogram. These reminders can be delivered via email, calendar events, RSS feed and text message, among other means.
In addition to promoting breast health among nurses, this early detection plan is a valuable tool to help educate others in the community today for a healthier tomorrow.
Walden University’s School of Nursing offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Completion Program, a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), which features specializations in Education, Leadership and Management and Nursing Informatics, and post-master’s certificates in nursing.
