Minneapolis—October 15, 2009—Walden University’s Web site, www.WaldenU.edu, has received the University Standard of Excellence WebAward from the Web Marketing Association (WMA). Independent expert judges from around the world reviewed sites in 96 industries from 47 countries for the WebAward Competition, which has set the standard for excellence in Web site development for 13 years.
Entries in WMA’s annual WebAward Competition were judged on design, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, ease of use and use of technology. Judges evaluated sites against an ever-increasing Internet standard of quality, and against peer sites within the candidates’ sectors.
“Walden University is proud to be honored by the WMA with the WebAward for excellence among higher-education institutions. This award reflects our commitment to providing a high-quality experience for everyone interested in learning about the Walden community,” said Christian Schindler, vice president of marketing for Walden.
The Walden Web site provides a student-centered experience that helps prospective students understand the Walden difference of providing innovative learning, effective programs, dedicated support, and a vibrant student community. The redesigned home page offers new, user-friendly tools intended to make navigating and exploring the Walden site an easier, more enjoyable experience for visitors.
