Walden University Champions Mission of Positive Social Change in Multimedia Campaign

Minneapolis—June 23, 2009—For nearly 40 years, Walden University has helped working professionals reach their academic and career goals while they also make a meaningful impact in their communities. Walden's new multimedia campaign is a celebration of this mission and conveys how a Walden degree contributes to an individual’s career advancement and ability to make a valuable contribution toward positive social change.

More than 33,000 students from all 50 states and over 90 countries are currently pursuing graduate and undergraduate degrees at Walden, where they are guided by the belief that they can personally effect positive social change across communities, countries and continents. The university’s vision of contributing to the greater global good fuels the passion of Walden students, graduates, faculty members and staff.

Walden’s television campaign features vignettes that represent Walden students bringing change to an urban neighborhood, a classroom, a hospital, and an alternative energy project, while they also move forward in their careers. The advertisements conclude with this theme: “Walden University. Advanced degrees advancing the quality of life.”

Walden’s multimedia campaign includes print and online advertising. Walden is also introducing a video contest where students and alumni can submit short videos describing how Walden has helped them to make positive changes in their careers, their lives, or the lives of others.
