In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. The webinars are free and open to the public, and registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis through April 8.

Dr. Benjamin is well-known in the world of public health as a leader, practitioner and administrator. Since December 2002, he has been the executive director of the American Public Health Association (APHA), which is the nation's oldest and largest organization of public health professionals. Prior to this appointment, he served as the secretary of the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, playing a key role in the development of Maryland's bioterrorism plan. He will share his insights on the role of public health professionals during a time of increased focus on health care reform.
