FAFSA INFORMATION

DISCLOSURES

1. A 10% tuition reduction combined with Walden’s Believe & Achieve Scholarship is available for new students who are service members, veterans of the U.S. armed forces, or employees of the Veterans Administration who enroll in programs eligible for the Believe & Achieve Scholarship. For programs not eligible for the Walden’s Believe & Achieve Scholarship, the tuition reduction is 15% for the life of the program. This tuition reduction is also available if you are a spouse of a service member, veteran, or employee of the Veterans Administration. This tuition reduction cannot be retroactively applied. Tuition reductions are applicable to tuition only and do not apply toward books, materials, and other supplies or fees needed for a course. It may not be combined with other tuition reductions, unless specified in another offer.

2. New students who are referred by Walden alumni can save receive a 5% tuition reduction combined with Walden’s Believe & Achieve Scholarship when they enroll in a program eligible for the Believe & Achieve Scholarship. For programs not eligible for the Walden’s Believe & Achieve Scholarship, the tuition reduction is 15% for the life of the program. This tuition benefit is available for January, February, and March 2024 start dates (future start dates are still being evaluated). This tuition reduction cannot be retroactively applied. Tuition reductions are applicable to tuition only and do not apply toward books, materials, and other supplies or fees needed for a course. This tuition reduction cannot be retroactively applied. It may not be combined with other tuition reductions, unless specified in another offer.

3. Walden alumni who have completed a degree program can save 25% on tuition over the lifetime of their program when they return for their next degree or certificate program and start classes in January, February, or March 2024 (future start dates are still being evaluated). Tuition reductions are applicable to tuition only and do not apply toward books, materials, and other supplies or fees needed for a course. This tuition reduction cannot be retroactively applied. May not be combined with other tuition reductions, unless specified in another offer.

4. Applicants must reside in the U.S. and enroll in Walden’s Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice, Royal Bahama Police Force Executive Leadership Graduate Certificate, MS in Forensic Psychology, PhD in Forensic Psychology, PhD in Forensic Psychology (Fast Track), BS in Criminal Justice, MS in Criminal Justice, MS in Criminal Justice (Tempo Learning), PhD in Criminal Justice, PhD in Criminal Justice (Fast Track), MS in Criminal Justice Leadership and Executive Management, BS in Human Services, MS in Psychology, MS in I/O Psychology, MS in Developmental Psychology, MS in Human Services, Master of Public Administration (MPA), MS in Nonprofit Management and Leadership, PhD in I/O Psychology, PhD in Psychology, PhD in Developmental Psychology, PhD in Clinical Psychology, PsyD in Behavioral Health Leadership, Doctor of Public Administration (DPA), PhD in Public Policy and Administration, Doctor of Human Services, or PhD in Human Services program in January, February, or March 2024. Eligible students receive a 5% tuition reduction combined with Walden’s Believe & Achieve Scholarship when they enroll in a program eligible for the Believe & Achieve Scholarship. 5. Fill out the 2020–2021 FAFSA if you started your program on or after June 1, 2020. Fill out the 2021–2022 FAFSA if you are starting your program on or after May 31, 2021. Please make sure to use 2018 tax and financial information when completing your 2020–2021 FAFSA, and 2019 tax and financial information when completing the 2021–2022 FAFSA. Upon receipt of your FAFSA, the Federal Processing Center will analyze your application and forward a Student Aid Report (SAR) to you and Walden’s Office of Financial Aid within three to five business days. Read the report carefully as it contains important information about your eligibility for aid. If you have any questions while completing the FAFSA, call the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-433-3243.

6. Save 25% on tuition over the lifetime of your degree program (excluding certificates) if you are the spouse, parent, or child of an enrolled Walden University student and start classes in January, February, or March 2024. Tuition reductions are applicable to tuition only and do not apply toward books, materials, and other supplies or fees needed for a course. This tuition reduction cannot be retroactively applied. 7. Students must contact their Enrollment Specialist to learn more or apply. Must be newly reserved students entering their first term at Walden and demonstrate a need or other extenuating life circumstances to be eligible. The criteria for selecting recipients to receive the benefit must demonstrate need or other extenuating life circumstances. Any Office of the President benefit is available on a first come, first serve basis.

9. Discount Policy Changes
Please note the following discount policy changes for:

  • Students who are starting a new program on August 28, 2023, or later.

  • Students who have been inactive for more than a year and need to go through the enrollment process again and start on August 28, 2023, or later.

  • Continuing students who change their program to one starting on August 28, 2023, or later.

If your academic program and start date allow for Walden awarded tuition discounts to be combined; Flat-rate tuition reductions like first course free, grant disbursements and scholarship disbursements will reduce tuition first, followed by percentage tuition reductions by value (highest to lowest). This does not apply to the program fee.
