Dr. Wendy Hopkins received her DNP in nursing at Walden University in February 2017. Dr. Hopkins received her degree in Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Across the Lifespan in 2019 from the University of South Alabama and her BSN degree from Mississippi College School of Nursing in 1990. She currently works in a primary care setting as a Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Health Behavior Coordinator at Veterans Affairs. Dr. Hopkins began as a part time faculty member at Walden University in the School of Nursing October 2021. She is one of the clinical instructors for the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program. Professionally, Dr. Hopkins has been working actively in the community with different church organizations related to mental health in her spare time. Dr. Hopkins currently has a published dissertation through Scholarly Works: “The Self-Efficacy of the Care of Dementia Patients”. Dr. Hopkins is a current member of the Mississippi Psychiatric Nurses Association.
