Dr. Veronica Hernandez-Morales
Veronica Hernandez received her Ph.D. in 2020 from Jackson State University. She completed her degree in Microbiology with a concentration in Lab Science and Bacteriology. She began teaching in higher education in 2014 at Jackson State University, MS. She taught biostatistics and Epidemiology at the undergraduate level. She teaches Research Methods and is the chair and a committee member for diverse dissertations at Walden. She has published her research in journals and at national and international conferences. She is an NIH scholar. Dr. Hernandez has worked as an Epidemiologist at the Florida and Mississippi Health Departments with experience and expertise in studying, designing, developing, and analyzing extensive health-related databases. She obtained a certification on Preparing for Tomorrow’s Faculty and Hispanic Serving Healthcare Professional at UCF in 2025, including Simulation studies. My research areas of interest are Infectious and chronic diseases. Some awards won by Dr. Hernandez are Walden Faculty Excellence Awards for the College of Health Sciences and Public Policy 2025, Most Innovative Poster, Florida Public Health Association 2025, and Biographical record of individuals who possess professionals’ integrity, demonstrate outstanding achievement in the fields, and have made innumerable contributions to society as a whole, Who's Who America 2021-2022
