Dr. Stewart is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. She is currently a Regional Director for the Texas Counseling Association and holds professional memberships in the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), the Texas Counseling Association (TCA), and the Texas Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (TACES). She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southern University at New Orleans, a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Akron. Her research interests include multicultural counseling, school counseling, urban education, advocacy, and counseling children. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, and exercising.
