Tom Hegblom, Ph.D., LPCC, LADC, NCC is a counselor and a counselor educator supervisor. Dr. Hegblom holds a master's degree in co-occurring disorders counseling and a doctorate in counselor education and supervision. He has worked in the field since 2015 and has been teaching in counselor education programs since 2018. Dr. Hegblom serves as a contributing faculty member at Walden University. Dr. Hegblom's teaching and research interests include ethical considerations within the counseling field, postmodern counseling theories, culture and human diversity issues, expanding critical thinking among counselors, and developing the self-efficacy of counseling students. In addition to his work in counselor education programs, he sees client in private practice and participates in various state, regional, and national counseling professional organizations.
