Dr. Davis began her work in the field of education as a Research Specialist in a school system with 150,000 students, supervising program evaluators who were responsible for determining the effectiveness of federally-funded programs. After completing her doctorate, she worked for twenty years in her private practice with families, survivors of abuse, and children with learning disabilities. Dr. Davis has taught at the university level throughout her career at various colleges and universities, typically in the College of Education or Psychology Department. She has taught at Walden University since 2010.
