Dr. Tara Harris’ formal training is as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has been in nursing for 20+ years. Dr. Harris served as undergraduate nursing faculty at a private institution in NC. She then moved into higher education positions in 2013 after obtaining her DNP from Duke University. She has served as both didactic and clinical faculty, teaching advanced health assessment, advanced pathophysiology, and other courses across the Nurse Practitioner curriculum. While at Walden U, she serves on several committees to include the curriculum committee, FNP committee, and clinical advisory committee.
