In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Susan Ferebee earned her Ph.D. in Information Systems at Nova Southeastern University. She also has an executive JD from Concord Law School (Purdue University Global) and a master’s in educational psychology from Purdue University Global. Susan has over 25 years of industry experience working for America Online (AOL), Intuit, and Lucent Technologies. She has also served as a consultant for more than 25 years.
Susan has published many peer-reviewed articles. Her current research includes studies on supply chain security, ethics of metaverse, Capture the Flag competitions in education, drones for search and rescue, personal cybersecurity behaviors, and the influence of interpretive communities on persuasion. Her most recent research is on ChatGPT – implications and strategies for education. She recently co-edited a book for IGI Global, Curriculum Development and Online Instruction for the 21st Century.
