Susan H Carmichael is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Mississippi. She has devoted over fifteen years to providing clinical services to underserved populations. She has worked with individuals in all stages of development and with a plethora of clinical presentations. During her time with community mental health she also served in a number of supervisory and administrative positions, with oversight of grant procurement, program evaluation, staff development, quality assurance, supervision and training, human resources, licensure and certification, policies and procedures, and outcome measures. She is a frequent public speaker, has published regularly in texts and journals, and is a former member of the Mississippi Board of Examiners for Licensed Professional Counselors. Susan joined Walden University in the role of Contributing Faculty in 2010.
