Dr. Stephanie Wright received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2013 and Certification as Acute Care Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner in 2018 from Augusta University. She has been a nurse since 1991 and has served in various roles from bedside nursing, to nursing leadership and academia. She has worked in higher education since 2006, most recently serving as the Director of the Clinical Nurse Leader Program at Augusta University where she was responsible for curriculum development and program design, course and clinical coordination, as well as overall program management. Dr. Wright currently works full-time as a Nurse Practitioner for the Pulmonary Critical Care department at Augusta University. Dr. Wright's research interest focuses primarily on improving outcomes and access to care for patients with renal and pulmonary diseases. Dr. Wright has published several peer-reviewed articles and has served as editor of major nursing practice textbooks. In 2015, Dr. Wright was awarded the College of Nursing Faculty Senate Award for Excellence in Teaching and Scholarship.
