Sonya DiCiro received her Masters degree in Nursing from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in May 1997. She is currently in a group OB/GYN practice in Poplar Bluff, Missouri as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Sonya began her nursing career as a Registered Nurse in 1983 after graduating from an Associate Degree program. She then received her BSN and MSN while working as a RN and raising her family. Sonya has been a Certified Diabetes Educator in the hospital and outpatient settings for over 25 years. She has RN and APRN licenses in Missouri and Minnesota. Sonya has had experience as a clinical preceptor with many nurse practitioner students in her own private practice and is now a Contributing Faculty with Walden University.
Sonya enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, photography and travel. She is a wife, mother of 3, grandmother of 3.
