Dr. Sheri Hamamoto Boyle has taught social work education for 19 years. She has taught both at the BSW and MSW levels, face-to-face and online. Dr. Boyle has also served in administrative positions, including department chair, BSW program director, MSW program director, and field coordinator. Dr. Boyle enjoys helping students understand the importance of policy in social work practice and watching the growth of her students through the program.
Dr. Boyle earned her BA in Political Science from UCLA, her MSW from the University of Pennsylvania, and her Ph.D. in social work from Widener University. She serves as Vice Chair of the Asian Pacific Islander American Health Forum, a site visitor for the Council on Social Work Education, and is a co-founder of the Cultural Humility Education Collaborative. Dr. Boyle lives in Greensburg, PA, with her husband, John. She has four children and just started her “empty nester” phase! She enjoys walking, yoga, strength training, reading, and knitting in her free time.
