Dr. Friess completed her doctorate at Argosy University in Counselor Education and Supervision. She earned her Masters from University of Northern Colorado in Community Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family. Most of her experience is in working with victims of domestic violence, as a counselor and counseling program manager. She enjoyed training and working with counselors during her 15 years in that position. She has also worked with offenders of domestic violence on parenting skills. In addition, she has worked with children in elementary and middle school and has experience working with children in residential treatment. Her research interests include artificial intelligence, counselor development and wellness, trauma, and vicarious trauma. Her counselor education experience is strong in crisis response, skill development, vicarious trauma, and field experience. She enjoys the outdoors, fishing, camping, and family.
