Dr. Shanice Armstrong is a counselor educator and Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. She received her doctorate from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2017. She has gained experience teaching at both traditional and online institutions over the past 5 years, prioritizing learning and infusing discussions around culture, identity, and stage of professional development to meet the diverse needs of students. Dr. Armstong's clinical experience includes work with populations across the life span in a variety of settings addressing topics from crisis and trauma to sex offense prevention. Dr. Armstrong is a strong advocate for professional growth and has held offices in several counseling organizations. At Walden University, she teaches in the clinical mental health program as a contributing faculty member.
