In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Rhonda Roxanne Rash received her Ed.D in Counseling Psychology from the University of Sarasota/Argosy University in 2001; she received her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Gerontology from the University of Delaware in 1993. Dr. Rash has been a nursing faculty member at Cecil College since 1990; she currently serves as the Assistant Director of Nursing and has served in this role since 2017. Dr. Rash is currently a contributing faculty in the MSN SP Nurse Educator program at Walden University. She holds a registered nurse license in the states of Maryland and Pennsylvania; she also has been a Certified Nurse Educator since 2008. Dr. Rash has presented on the topics of elder sexuality and complementary and alternative modalities.
