Dr. Boyle works in the School of Counseling here at Walden. She has spent over 25 years in the public schools as a special education teacher, and as a counselor.
She is an independently licensed marriage and family therapist (IMFT), a professional school counselor, and a licensed professional counselor (PCC-S) both with supervising credentials in the state of Ohio.
She graduated from Miami University (OH) with a BS in Special Education, received her Masters degree from John Carroll University in School Counseling, and her Ph.D. in Marriage and family counseling/therapy from the University of Akron.
She is the past president for the Ohio Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, and she belongs to various professional organizations including AAMFT, OAMFT, and ACA. Her research interests include supervision, domestic violence, alternative education and mental illness in children and its effect on the family.
