In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Rachel Nagel has completed an Ed. D. in Organizational Leadership with Specialization in Educational Leadership. The dissertation it titled: Teacher Understanding of NCLB and the effects on Teacher Morale. She recently completed a Masters in Educational Technology. Dr. Nagel has an MBA and two Bachelors degrees, which include one in Business and Elementary Education.
Dr. Rachel Nagel currently works as a Professor. She develops curriculum and uses innovated technology in the online setting. She has extensive experience in education and adult learning. She has served as a dissertation mentor and a dissertation committee member. Professor Nagel also supervised interns working on Bachelors and Masters degrees in the field Education. Before teaching adult education, Dr. Nagel spent numerous years in the elementary setting where she has experience in administration, reading specialization and classroom teaching.
Professor Nagel loves to spend time with her students. She is available to help students understand the material and to succeed.
