Phyllis Ellett spent most of her teaching career in Illinois. There were short stints teaching in Texas and South Dakota. Phyllis taught primarily in the elementary grades. However, she received administrative certification and worked as Gifted Education Coordinator for some time. She had extensive experience in the field of gifted education as a teacher and trainer of teachers. She grew up at the daughter of a teacher and both of her children have become teachers as well.
