Ph.D. Public Health

I have been practicing public health for more than 30 years. My first experience after graduate school (U of Pittsburgh) was with the Allegheny County Health Department (Pittsburgh) as an epidemiologist. In 1983 I moved to the Delaware Division of Public Health, where I served in various capacities including State Epidemiologist. I recently retired as the Associate Deputy Director of the Division, and provided oversight for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, Environmental Health, Health Statistics, the Public Health Laboratory, and other programs. I am also a site reviewer for the Public Health Accreditation Board. On the personal side I live in Millsboro, Delaware with my wife. My two children are grown - a lawyer and high school teacher. My hobby is photography. I usually try to take one vacation a year to photograph landscapes.
