Patricia Y. Talbert, Ph.D., MPH., CPHA., CHES®, CWP, cPHN,

Patricia Y. Talbert received her PhD in Public Health specialization in Community Health Promotion and Education from Walden University and she holds several nationally accredited degrees. She currently serves as a faculty member in the College of Health Professions at Walden University and serves as a Doctoral/Committee Chair. She specializes in studies of Higher Education and Public Health with a primary focus on women’s health, health care law and ethics, health promotion, and education. Dr. Talbert research interests include primary prevention of cancer, cardiovascular disease, and exploring health disparities, with a focus on social and physical determinants of health. She has worked as an educator, academic mentor, researcher, consultant for 30 years, and held multiple leadership positions. Dr. Talbert established the Center for Professional Academic Consulting, LLC, which is dedicated to supporting institutions promote academic excellence by obtaining and maintaining accreditation. She has a number of publications, grants, and presentations focusing on leadership and community-health and wellness.
