Patricia Koslowe, PhD, is part-time faculty at Walden and adjunct faculty in the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine in the School of Medicine at the University of Maryland. Until recently she operated a small home based business – EpiStat - in Silver Spring, Maryland that specialized in the design, implementation and analysis of health related studies in the public and private sectors. She completed her doctoral work in epidemiology at the School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University and worked at the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) prior to her work at EpiStat. At the University of Maryland she has assisted in the design of introductory courses in epidemiology – primarily in a distance environment - to graduate and post-graduate students in several different departments. She also has assisted in a bio-ethics class.
