After attaining an Educational Doctorate Degree from Argosy University in 2007, Dr. Brustad has been actively involved in the professional development of educators in Sarasota County and across the state of Florida. She has a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership, and a Master's Degree in Varying Exceptionalities. With twenty-two years of educational experience, Dr. Brustad has taught a range of ages from Pre-K through adult. As a mother of two growing children, she finds early literacy and child development a critical component of the educational profession.
