Dr. Nerissa “Reese” Strong earned her MPhil and Ph.D. from Walden University in Human Services, specializing in Disaster, Crisis, and Intervention, a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Pentecostal Theological University, and a Bachelor of Science in Education and Music from Lee University. Professionally, she has served her country as a Disaster Recover Specialist for over 20 years through federal government organizations. She has been a key leader and trainer in recovery operations throughout the US and its territories. Additionally, Dr. Strong is a Certified Professional Life Coach, Marriage and Family Counselor, and Conference Speaker. She has previously taught graduate and undergraduate courses in Counseling and Education and recently joined the Walden faculty in 2024. Dr. Strong’s research interests are disaster recovery, crisis interventions, marriage enrichment, and life goal achievement. Her passion is serving others while educating and empowering them to reach their full potential and purpose.
