Michelle Y. Pinckney received a Master of Science in Nursing-Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Graduate Certificate (post-MSN) in December 2017 from the University of Cincinnati. She received a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Executive Leadership from Capella University in June 2015. In November 2012, she received a Master of Science in Nursing-Nursing Administration (post-MSN) from Kaplan University. In May 2009, she received a Master of Science in Nursing Education (MSN) from South University.
She serves as Core Faculty at Walden University, teaching in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program. Dr. Pinckney began as a Contributing (part-time) Faculty with Walden University in the School of Nursing in November 2020.
She is licensed as a PMHNP in SC, NV, MN, and CA. Dr. Pinckney also runs a virtual PMHNP practice where she provides services via telehealth to those suffering from mental illness.
