Michele Shropshire
Dr. Michele L. Shropshire has been a faculty member at Walden University since March 2024. She received her DSW in Social Work from the University of Southern California and a Master of Social Work Degree from Fordham University. Dr. Shropshire is a licensed clinical social worker for New York and New Jersey. She has been an educator and school social worker in the New York City Public Schools since 2001. She has taught graduate social work courses in Race, Class, Gender, School Social Work, Social Work Skills Lab, Psychopathology, and Social Work Practice with Individuals, Groups, and Families at other universities. Dr. Shropshire's research interests are child and adolescent mental health, using technology with social work, cognitive development, trauma, sexuality, and social media effects on adolescents.
