Matthew Shupp
For the past nine years, Matthew R. Shupp has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Counseling and College Student Personnel at Shippensburg University and is currently an adjunct instructor in Walden University's Department of Nursing. He is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania, a national certified counselor (NCC), board certified as a tele-mental health provider (BC-TMH), an approved clinical supervisor (ACS), and an EMDR-trained therapist. He received his Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Widener University and his masters (Counseling: College Student Personnel) and bachelors (Psychology) degrees from Shippensburg University. He is past-president of the PA College Personnel Association. Research interests include effective supervision practices and is the co-author of the text "Inclusive Supervision in Student Affairs: A Model for Professional Practice." He is a former student affairs professional and has presented at the local, regional, national, and international levels as well as published numerous manuscripts in reputable journals.
