Dr. Shuma Rudberg has been working in the field of rehabilitation counseling since 2003. Dr. Shuma Rudberg's field experience includes working in the federal and state spectrum of Rehabilitation Counseling. During her tenor in the field of rehabilitation counseling, she specifically, enjoyed working with individuals with drug and alcohol issues. Dr. Shuma Rudberg taught several classes at the community college level while working full time as a rehabilitation counselor for the federal government. She enjoyed teaching in the field of psychology and sociology.

Dr. Shuma Rudberg is currently working at Southwest Behavioral Health System as a Substance Abuse counselor and as a Vocational Expert for Social Security. She has recently joined Walden University as a Post Doctoral Fellow in the School of Counseling in the Mental Health Counseling Program.

Dr. Shuma Rudberg is interested in advocating for people with disabilities. Her current research is in the field of Work Place Bullying and Addiction. Her dissertation is titled Work Place Bullying in Certified Rehabilitation Counselors and Levels of Depression as measured by the BDI-2 and WPVB.
