Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA)

Dr. Urdaneta holds a BBA, a MBA, a MA in Hospital and Health Administration and a PhD in Hospital and Health Administration all from the University of Iowa. She has over 10 years of experience as a healthcare administrator in various healthcare settings including a nursing home, a family medicine clinic and the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa. In addition, she worked for a major pharmaceutical as a program manager in the Outcomes Research department and published/presented on various healthcare management issues such as HIV treatment patterns, physician utilization, and cost trends in healthcare. She has over 18 years of experience in academic roles as a Program Director, Program Chair, Academic Dean, Director of Online Programs, Dean of Health Science, and is currently the Dean of Health and Human Services at a community college in Illinois. She contributed to the academic field of healthcare administration as a textbook reviewer, subject matter expert, and AUPHA Certification Review Panel Team Member.
