She obtained BSN from Clemson University as well as an MBA. Obtained MSN from Kennesaw State University. She has taught at the undergraduate level for the past 15 years. She has taught at Walden University for the past 12 years as a clinical instructor in the NP program. She works as an FNP in a private clinic specializing in pediatrics. Prior to becoming a FNP, she worked in critical care with a special emphasis on cardiac care.

She belongs to the AANP and is certified through them. She writes monthly articles in the local paper on different areas regarding pediatrics.
