Lori Barthel
Dr. Lori Barthel is a contributing faculty member for the master’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. She is a Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, and Telehealth approved therapist. She is a National Certified Counselor and a National Certified School Counselor. Dr. Barthel has been practicing clinically for the past 15 years in the K-12 public school system as a professional school counselor and mental health provider and as the owner of a private practice offering mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and couples. She also has experience in supervising Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselors for licensure. Her professional counseling presentations have focused on educating professionals on youth suicide prevention and intervention, mental health issues of adolescents, mindset matters, restorative practices, and mindfulness.
