His dissertation was : "Are There Successful Strategies and Techniques for Healthcare Executives to Increase Harmony with Physicians?". Earlier he was awarded a Master of Healthcare Administration by Western Michigan University and a BBA in Facility Management and Engineering with a minor in Law by Grand Valley State University.

He is an American College of Healthcare Executives Fellow (FACHE) and a Certified Healthcare Safety Professional. He is a Certified Chief Executive Officer (CCEO) and a Fellow of the International Institute of Directors and Managers.
