Lisa M. Kangas, Ph.D. has served in various higher education leadership roles and has taught undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as mentored students and faculty, for more than 20 years in higher education. Dr. Kangas served in various leadership capacities, including Director for Academic Affairs, managing more than 200 faculty, 2000+ students in 8 programs at three different campuses. In addition, she is an education consultant with more than 12 years and has more than 20 years of business experience, working for several Fortune 100 companies in various roles.

At Walden University, Dr. Kangas, currently has a dual role as a faculty supervisor and senior core faculty, assigning committee chair and committees to students and mentoring and teaching courses in the DBA program. As a former lead faculty she taught Strategic Management for Competitive Advantage, Leadership, Change Management, and Innovation courses. Dr. Kangas also teaches residencies and intensives, and capstone courses. Dr. Kangas serves as a chair, second committee and University Research Reviewer on numerous doctoral student research committees.

Dr. Kangas currently serves as the Interim Chair for the EDGE Research and Analytics Committee and Affinity Research Project committee, and formerly on the Center for Social Change Advisory Council, the Center for Learning Innovation Advisory Council, DBA curriculum and program (CAP) committee, petitions, as well as numerous other committees and advisory councils. Dr. Kangas's current research interests include positive social change and sustainability development goals, innovation, emerging trends in higher education, change management, and innovations and emerging technologies. She presents at various higher education conferences and publishes articles on a regular basis on these topics and more.
