Dr. Leanne Parker is licensed clinical psychologist. Receiving her PhD from the University of Montana in 1997, her qualitative dissertation focused on the translation of feminist principles into feminist therapy. After completing a year of clinical work in the community mental health system in Montana (part of which was on the Flathead Indian Reservation), she moved to Alaska where she served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Alaska Fairbanks for almost 2 years. Returning to her beloved Pacific Northwest, Dr. Parker has focused on teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level for over 20 years (including 6+ years in Walden's clinical psychology doctoral program), as well as maintaining a small private practice.
Dr. Parker is a longstanding member of the American Psychological Association, as well as the Association for Women in Psychology. She has presented at numerous regional and national conferences, as well as authoring or co-authoring in academic journals.
