Tanya Battle-wherry
LaTanya Battle-Wherry received her Master of Science in Nursing at Excelsior College in Clinical Systems Management in December 2015 and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Post-Master’s Certificate at Georgia College State University in May 2018. She serves as a part-time faculty in the College of Nursing at Walden University. Her tenure began in September 2020, teaching in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program. Mrs. Battle-Wherry is certified as a PMHNP through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has taught Nursing as a Clinical Instructor at Corinthians College. Mrs. Battle-Wherry has over 21 years of experience in multiple clinical areas including Forensics, Psychiatry, Informatics, Intensive Care Unit, Oncology, and Disease Care Management. She is a member of the following organizations: Sigma Theta Tau International, The American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and The Neuroscience Education Institute.
