Kendra Duran
Kendra L. Duran received her Ph.D. in Public Policy: Social Policy at Liberty University and her M.A. in Human Rights Practice from the University of Arizona. Dr. Duran is an interdisciplinary pracademic in the fields of human rights, public policy, and theology. She has tackled policy and practice issues in diverse regions, including the United States, Southeast Asia, East Africa, and Central America. Dr. Duran was a National Geographic Explorer and has embarked on groundbreaking research concerning topics such as human trafficking, international child law, indigenous rights, migration, asylum, refugee rights, social protection, and rights related to the family. Her most recent research focuses on the intricacies of global social policy and its impact on the diffusion of human rights, democracy, and development. Currently, she works as Contributing Faculty in the school of Public Policy and Administration at Walden University and serves doctoral candidates toward completing the dissertation phase of their studies.
