Kelly Schuller earned a B.A. in psychology in 2001, M.A. in Lifespan Developmental Psychology in 2004 and Ph.D. in Lifespan Developmental Psychology in 2006 from West Virginia University (WVU). In addition, she earned a Certificate in Gerontology from the WVU Center on Aging in 2006. Following a post-doctoral position in epidemiology at the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Schuller served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology at the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC and an Assistant then Associate Professor of Psychology at Bethany College in Bethany, WV. She is currently a Contributing Faculty at Walden University and a Chair & Associate Professor of Psychology at a midsize state university.
Dr. Schuller’s research interests include factors that influence health behaviors across the lifespan, especially in older adulthood, and factors that influence levels of death anxiety. She is interested in the social and cognitive factors that influence health behaviors in a variety of domains, including heart disease, arthritis and diabetes. Her research interests also include the factors that lead to health disparities in minority groups.
