Dr. Karen Rodriguez is a clinical social worker licensed in Iowa, Nebraska and Michigan and is Core Faculty in the Barbara Solomon School of Social Work at Walden University. She earned Bachelors degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and a PhD in Social Work from Walden University. She has been working with children and families since 1991 including a background in child welfare, foster care and extensive experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment with individuals, teens and families. She specializes in working with marriage and family issues, behavior disorders, couples therapy, blended family issues and military personnel and families. She also supervises student therapists in training and provides in-service training on various mental health topics. Dr. Rodriguez was also a Military Family Life Consultant providing support to military members and families, a proud military mom. She is married and the proud parent of three children and grandparent to 6 amazing grandchildren.
