Dr. Cathey joined Walden University as contributing faculty in their mental health counseling program. She has more than 13 years of teaching, supervising, advising, and mentoring counseling students. Her specialization area is multicultural issues and development around counseling, supervision, and counselor education. As a counselor, she worked with adolescents, college students, and older adults in varying work settings and while providing both pastoral counseling and clinical counseling. Dr. Cathey is a licensed professional counselor and board qualified supervisor (LPC-S) and a national approved clinical supervisor (ACS).
